Glacial Erratic Monuments
In this project, Ryan Thompson animates glacial erratic boulders through the three-dimensional effect of stereo-animation. In this process, the monitor flickers between two nearly identical photographs. In the video shown here, Thompson describes his desire to make tangible the geographic history of a place and his awareness of the shifting presence between objects and images.
