Interrogating the Invisible
For the featured project, Ian Clothier surveyed participants about their cultural identity via a project website. Responses generated the images.
Additional Description
The works in the video are part of the wider project Interrogating the Invisible, created for and exhibited at 01San Jose/ISEA 2006. The images are titled by the number of the response, e.g. the single cultural identity was indicated by Respondent 004. A large majority of respondents indicated having more than one cultural identification, indicative of the hybrid state of culture.
