In this series of daguerreotypes, Haley Morris-Cafiero shows her struggle to lose weight to fit into a public bathroom stall. Each daguerreotype is presented in a rawhide box with paraffin wax.

Willpower
“Willpower” is one image within an ongoing series, Something to Weigh, in which Haley Morris-Cafiero investigates how her body size affects her socially. The saturated color and glowing light within her images often seems to be coming from luminous displays, such as vending and slot machines or bakery cases.
