I am interested in the materiality of the printed image and as such am photographing existing imagery to discern how it is that consumers of imagery connect to them and understand the visual information within them, and how it is that that information is distinctly different from our having witnessed that event first hand. Ultimately these pictures are about mediation or negotiation of the world through a lens. Exaggerated placement of the lens in relation to the image makes the viewer more aware of the circumstances surrounding the production of these images<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
